Blend Coffee and Wine Bar was born out of a simple idea: we wanted somewhere where you could enjoy great coffee and a decent glass of wine, without having to choose between a café or a pub. 

In 2024, we opened our doors on Abbeygate Street and set out to create a relaxed, welcoming space where coffee lovers and wine fans could feel at home, any time of day. The renovation took longer than we’d hoped but we couldn’t be happier with the result. It’s a calm, comfortable spot that works just as well for a morning flat white as it does for an evening glass of wine.

Welcome to our café, Roots, nestled in the heart of the Blackthorpe Barn complex on Rougham Estate.

With a storied history spanning decades, this location is a convenient out-of-town chill-out spot to meet up, a cosy gathering place for the community, now open throughout the year.

For breakfast, lunch, coffee and cake, we hope Roots will become your go-to destination. Everyone is welcome: walkers, cyclists, families and dogs.
